Emily

Development Manager

The most appealing aspect of being involved with Flathead Food Bank for me is that the cause is so simple, but so powerful. Getting food to people in need is a singular function with a huge impact. As a fund raiser, it is very rewarding for me to be a part of an organization that directly turns donations into meals for people during times of stress and financial anxiety.
When I’m not finding new ways to create fundraisers or writing a grant, I hike, swim and ski in this place we are all lucky enough to call home.

Eric

Volunteer Coordinator

Sometimes people just need a small lift to get some traction during a tough stretch.  If you’ve ever had your own tough stretch, you’ll know that everything looks better after a solid meal. I’d worked in the ‘for-profit’ world for a long time but had always held a vision of lending a hand in a more community related field.  Providentially,  Flathead Food Bank had an opening for the Volunteers Coordinator position at a time when I could make a career change.  Outside of the food bank, I’m a pretty cheap date…some hike/hunt/fish/camp days with family and friends; a bit of gardening and the cutting of a few cords of firewood.  Maybe throw in a summertime float trip or three, and of course, some rain & snow day reading/writing sessions with said firewood.

Working for the Flathead Food Bank is very rewarding. The mission of ‘Fighting Hunger. Feeding Hope’ is brought to life every day by the amazing team. It is heart-warming to see the community support for our mission. I look forward to our future endeavors.
When I’m not raising money for the food bank, my husband and I love hiking, biking, visiting art shows, and spending time with friends. We visit Glacier National Park as often as possible.
